POLICE KILL AN INNOCENT MAN IAN TOMLINSON

Let me start by saying this.

I do not feel sorry for Ian’s family, I do not offer them sympathy but what I do offer them is empathy. I do, however give them my full thoughts and prayers. I fully understand at a deep emotional level what you are going through and I am not writing this article to elevate any cause. I am writing this article because what has happened to Ian is becoming the normality in the UK. If any of Ian’s family read this article then please take it in the context it is meant, some of it will be mellow and some of it will be angry and sound like a rant. The anger and rant will never be pointed in your direction.

A MAN DIED AFTER BEING ASSAULTED BY A LONDON POLICE OFFICER.

Ian Tomlinson, who was 47 and a newspaper venor in London, was walking home from work and inadvertently became embrioled in the G20 protests. He was walking on his way home when he found himself in no mans land, the space between Police and protesters. Ian, who was walking with his hands in his trouser pockets and on his way home from work had tried to find another way home but he had already been blocked by the Police. There are reports that before the video inicent that is so widely reported that Ian had also been assaulted by other Police Officers.  As it shows on the video, this man was attacked, he was not attacking anyone, he was trying to get out of no mans land in London.

I find it

intriguing that when the Police investigation into Ian’s death asked for witnesses to come forward, that the one person who provided the footage was infact a merchant banker. Remember that a lot of G20 protesters are so anti banks it would split your eye with an icicle if you even mentioned that there could be a moralistic merchant banker.

I find it absolutely unbelievable that the Police had to request that the officers concerned come forward and make their identities known. Every helmet had their call sign on it, there is enough cctv to make out what the call sign on the officers head was who attacked Ian. Each unit commander, whether it is a Sgt or Inspector knows his own unit and who is on the ground.

The ISPCC should not have to request that officers in that incident come forward, THOSE officers are supposed to be upholding the law and by failing to come forward they are breaking the law. Their Inspectors, Superindents, Divisional Commanders are also breaking the law,you must disclose who has commited the alledged offence.

Imagine this for a minute, a member of the public knocks down a Police Officer and uses a baton, then shoves the Police Officer to the ground that he is hurt and disorientated.

Do you think there would be a public enquiry, or……………

DO YOU THINK ARRESTS WOULD BE MADE?
